Build career skills for Green Technology in the HVAC and Electrical fields

Programs and Partnerships

Electrician Training – Learn the skills needed to join the electrical industry as an electrician's apprentice.

HVAC – Students train on the equipment technicians regularly service throughout homes and businesses. Build skills working with climate control and refrigeration , and focus on “Green” HVAC concepts such as energy efficiency, energy auditing, and solar thermal/geothermal technologies.

Medical Assistant – Connecticut projects 18% growth in job demand by 2030 for medical assistants1.

Practical Nursing – Classroom instruction and Hands-on training prepares the student to take the NCLEX-PN licensure exam for practical nurses.

Specialized Training Partnerships

Some of the finest manufacturers in the world partner with Tech to train their next generation of technicians. The Johnson Controls Prep training program is available at this campus. Graduates from our Electrician Training program can then apply for specialized product-specific training sponsored by Johnson Controls at the Johnson Controls Academy in Columbia, MD.

Graduates from the Electrical and HVAC programs at the New Britain campus have the opportunity to apply for continued training through specialized training partnerships that Tech has with major manufacturers.

Johnson Controls specialized training partnerships
Graduates from our Electrician Training program can also apply for specialized product-specific training sponsored by Johnson Controls Academy, which builds on the lessons learned in the Johnson Control Prep training. The Johnson Controls Academy is located at Tech’s Columbia, MD campus.
Hussmann specialized training partnership
Qualified graduates of our HVAC program can also continue their training by applying for the specialized Hussmann partnership program, which can lead to excellent career opportunities. Hussmann’s TechX facility is located at the Grand Prairie, TX campus.
