Automotive Technology Training

Our Indianapolis auto mechanic school is just up the road from “The Brickyard” – home of the Indy 500

Less than half an hour from the home of the Indy 500, you’ll find Tech’s Indianapolis auto mechanic school – part of the city’s auto tradition since 1961. Our auto bays are stocked with industry tools from Matco, and will be your classroom as you learn to build the skills hiring managers want to see in today’s tech-driven auto industry.

Almost 14,000 automotive technician jobs are projected to open across Indiana between 2020 & 20301. Take advantage of those opportunities by earning your Automotive Technology Diploma, or increase your earning potential with a degree in Automotive Service Management.

Skills Acquired at Our Indianapolis, IN Auto Technology School

  • Rebuild an engine, flush a brake line, and troubleshoot on-board computers.
  • Diagnose and repair transmissions and drive train components.
  • Repair A/C and heating , power windows, doors, and seats.
  • Perform basic maintenance, including oil changes, tune-ups, and tire rotations.
  • Study theory and application of automotive electrical and electronic .
  • Apply mechanical and technical principles to automotive steering, alignment, and suspension .
